Machine Quilting Services

Quilted Bear Den is now taking in your finished quilt tops to be quilted, on our Handiquilter 16. We will also machine baste your quilt if you would like to hand quilt your quilt. We will also do your binding for you if you would like.

Pricing for machine quilting is based on the area of the quilt in square inches. You can calculate the area of the quilt by multiplying the length of the quilt by the width of the quilt. For example, if the quilt measures 60" wide by 80" long, the area of the quilt will be 60x80=4800 square inches. If the design you want on your quilt costs 0.015 per square inch, the price will be $72 for the quilting. This does not include thread or batting or backing fabric, nor any other services we may provide.

Meandering and simple free hand designs = 0.015 per square inch
Stippling and more complex free hand designs = 0.03 per square inch
Basting for Hand Quilting = 0.007 per square inch
Custom Work = 0.03 to 0.10 per square inch depending on work desired
Binding
- Front stitched by machine and back to be done by quiltmaker = 0.10 per linear inch
- Complete Binding - Machine stitched and hand stitched to back by Quilted Bear Den = 0.25 per linear inch.

Most other services are available for $20.00 per hour fee.
Thread Charges
- $5.00 for first color
- $3.00 for additional color changes
Batting
- Packaged Quilters Dream Batting is available at Quilted Bear Den. If what you would like is not in stock, we would be happy to order it for you.
- We also have Quilters Dream Blend batting 92" wide on a roll for $10.00 per yard
- If you have batting you would like to use, we can use what you have.
Minimum Prices
- Simple Free Hand Design = $45.00
- Complex Free Hand Design = $60.00
- Custom Work = $100.00

You can ship to us by either USPS or UPS. We can ship your quilt back to you by either USPS or UPS for the cost of shipping plus insurance cost.
A Deposit of 50% of estimated cost is due upon receipt of quilt. Remainder will be due at completion.
